Thai stainless cold roller Posco-Thainox tried to warn Malaysian stainless mills for coil exporting surge to Thailand by a statement mentioning their consideration to request the Thai authorities to take trade measures to protect its domestic market.It indicated that there is an unusual surge of imports of stainless steel from Malaysia into Thailand since 2012 and 2013 and which had made Malaysia the fourth largest stainless steel coil importer into the country.The surge in imports comes after the completion of Acerinox's Bahru Stainless plant in Malaysia's Johor Bahru in the second quarter 2012.
